Fiberon PA612-CF15 is a carbon fiber reinforced copolyimide filament combining PA6 and PA12 polymers with 15% chopped carbon fibers, resulting in a density of 1.03 g/cm³ and exceptional heat deflection temperature of 175°C at 0.45 MPa. This unique long-chain copolymer structure delivers superior mechanical properties with Young's modulus of 5137 MPa in X-Y direction while maintaining reduced moisture sensitivity compared to standard PA6/PA66 materials. The material achieves an equilibrium water absorption of only 2.2%, significantly lower than traditional nylon composites, ensuring dimensional stability in humid environments.

Fiberon PA612-CF15 excels in aerospace, automotive, and industrial tooling applications where high strength, heat resistance, and moisture insensitivity are critical. It prints reliably on FDM systems with nozzle temperatures of 250-300°C and bed temperatures of 40-50°C, achieving printing speeds up to 300mm/s without requiring heated chambers or enclosures. Both professional engineers and advanced makers can leverage its Warp-Free technology for dimensional accuracy in functional prototypes, end-use parts, and demanding manufacturing applications.

Users benefit from PA612-CF15's exceptional strength retention in wet conditions, maintaining 83.1 MPa tensile strength even after moisture conditioning, compared to significant degradation in standard PA6 materials. The material offers outstanding layer adhesion through Fiber-Adhesion technology, creating more isotropic parts that are strong in all directions. However, the abrasive carbon fibers require hardened steel or ruby nozzles with typical brass nozzle life of only 9 hours, and annealing at 100°C for 16 hours is strongly recommended to achieve maximum mechanical and thermal performance.
