1) Scope & brands we cover
This policy covers new, genuine products purchased directly from Additronix in the UAE, including printers and standard accessories from the following brands:
-
Bambu Lab
-
Creality
-
Piocreate)
-
Elegoo
-
Other brands listed on our store from time to time
Manufacturer-first rule: Each product is governed by the official manufacturer warranty for your region (UAE) and model. Where a term in this Policy conflicts with the manufacturer’s warranty, the manufacturer’s terms prevail for coverage decisions. Additronix facilitates claims and service per those terms.
2) Warranty start date & proof of purchase
-
Start date: The earlier of (a) your invoice date or (b) the courier’s delivery scan date.
-
Proof required: A valid Additronix invoice and an intact serial number/QR label on the device.
-
Transferability: Warranty is generally tied to the product within the covered region; some brands may require the original purchaser. Keep your invoice and packaging.
3) Standard warranty coverage (summary)
While exact coverage and durations vary by brand/model, most manufacturers provide limited hardware warranties covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use. Typical (not guaranteed) coverage patterns include:
-
3D printer main unit & control electronics: limited warranty as per brand/model (often ~12 months).
-
Motors, boards, sensors, displays, power supplies: brand/model-dependent warranty.
-
Heated beds, hotend assemblies, extruders: covered for defects; nozzles, PTFE tubes, and other wear parts are generally consumables (see §4).
-
Resin printers: main unit electronics covered; LCDs, FEP/ACF films, vats, gaskets are consumables.
-
Batteries (if any), fans, belts, bearings: typically wear items with limited or no warranty beyond DOA unless the manufacturer specifies otherwise.
For the exact term (months/years) and parts list for your model, refer to the manufacturer’s UAE warranty page or your product’s user manual. We can share the applicable document on request.
4) What is not covered (exclusions & limitations)
The following are ordinarily not covered by manufacturer warranties and therefore not covered by Additronix beyond DOA (see §7):
-
Consumables & wear-and-tear parts: nozzles, hotends/nozzle tips, PTFE tubes, heater cartridges, thermistors, wiper/maintenance parts, belts, bearings, rollers, build plates/sheets, PEI sheets, FEP/ACF films, resin vats, filters, screens, glue/adhesives, lubricants, cleaning tools, SD cards/USB drives.
-
User-caused damage or misuse: incorrect assembly, dropping/impact, liquid ingress, corrosion, sand/dust ingress, power surges, wrong voltage/fuse, poor ventilation/overheating, inappropriate storage (heat/UV/moisture).
-
Improper materials or settings: using unsupported filaments/resins, hard abrasives without suitable nozzles, curing or wash chemicals that attack plastics, or slicer settings that overdrive heaters/steppers.
-
Modifications/unauthorized repair: third-party or self-performed repairs, rewiring, non-OEM firmware, bypassing safety interlocks, drilling/cutting frames, or tampering with serial labels.
-
Cosmetic issues not affecting function: minor scratches, paint rub, discoloration.
-
Network/software issues outside hardware defects: slicer bugs, OS conflicts, Wi-Fi/mesh quality, cloud outages.
-
Inadequate maintenance: failure to perform routine calibration, lubrication, belt tensioning, nozzle cleaning, resin vat care, or replacing wear parts as advised by the manufacturer.
-
Commercial overuse outside duty cycle: print-farm or industrial duty beyond the model’s intended use/duty rating, where stated by the manufacturer.
5) Your responsibilities (to keep the warranty valid)
-
Follow the manual: assembly, installation, environment (temp/ventilation), and safety, based on the Manufacturer's terms of use and warranty guidelines.
-
Use compatible materials per brand guidance.
-
Keep firmware/software at stable manufacturer-recommended releases.
-
Perform routine maintenance and document when asked (photos/video).
-
Do not remove or alter serial/QR labels.
-
Use proper power and surge protection.
6) Warranty service options (UAE) - Back to Basepoint
Depending on the brand/model and issue, your case will follow one of these paths:
-
Remote triage & parts replacement (RMA-Parts): We/brand support will guide diagnostics; if eligible, parts are shipped for user or technician installation.
-
Carry-in / ship-to-service: You bring or ship the unit (securely packed) to our UAE service point or a brand-approved center, .
-
Exchange or replacement: Only when the manufacturer authorizes it (generally for DOA or unrecoverable defects).
-
On-site service: Available only if the manufacturer provides it for your model (mostly enterprise/industrial units).
Shipping costs (within UAE):
Inbound to us: Customer pays to send the device/part for inspection unless Additronix/brand explicitly covers it.
Return to you (approved warranty): Additronix covers standard return shipping to easily accessible areas; remote-area surcharges may apply.
Non-warranty/out-of-scope: Customer pays both ways plus any diagnostics/repair fees (see Point10).
7) DOA (Dead on Arrival) & damage during shipping
-
If your item is DOA or damaged on arrival, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos/videos and the order number.
-
Keep all packaging for inspection. After triage, if confirmed DOA, we will arrange like-for-like exchange, repair, or a manufacturer-approved remedy.
-
Claims after 48 hours are handled as standard warranty cases.
8) Brand-specific notes (high-level guidance)
-
Bambu Lab: May require logs/serial diagnostics. Use recommended filaments, perform maintenance (nozzle/hotend, lubrication, belt checks), and avoid unsupported firmware.
-
Creality: Warranty and service channels vary by model and region; keep serials intact and follow bed/nozzle maintenance schedules.
-
PioCreat (Piocreate): Resin and FDM lines require adherence to material handling and firmware guidelines; resin-related consumables are excluded once used.
-
Elegoo: For resin printers, LCD panels, FEP films, and vats are wear items; follow exposure and cleaning guidance to avoid premature wear.
These are operational pointers only; the brand’s official warranty text controls.

-
Warranty support generally applies to UAE-sourced units sold by Additronix.
-
Grey-market imports or units with tampered/removed serials may be ineligible for brand warranty in the UAE.
