Fiberon PA6-CF20 is a carbon fiber reinforced nylon 6 filament containing 20% chopped carbon fibers with a density of 1.17 g/cm³ and exceptional heat deflection temperature of 215°C at 0.45 MPa. This composite material exhibits outstanding mechanical properties with Young's modulus of 8636 MPa in X-Y direction when dry and maintains superior stiffness even after moisture absorption. The material features Fiber-Adhesion™ Technology that optimizes surface chemistry of carbon fibers for better dispersion and bonding to the nylon matrix, delivering exceptional layer adhesion.

Fiberon PA6-CF20 excels in automotive, composite manufacturing, and industrial applications requiring extreme durability under high stress and heat conditions. It prints reliably on FDM systems with nozzle temperatures of 280-300°C and bed temperatures of 40-50°C, achieving printing speeds up to 300mm/s without requiring heated chambers. Both professional engineers and advanced users can leverage its ESD-safe properties and Warp-Free™ technology for high-performance prototypes, functional parts, and manufacturing tooling.

Users benefit from PA6-CF20's exceptional mechanical performance in dry conditions, with 109.3 MPa tensile strength and 11.0 kJ/m² impact strength, making it ideal for demanding structural applications. The material offers outstanding z-axis strength through advanced fiber adhesion technology, creating more isotropic parts compared to other carbon fiber nylons. However, the abrasive carbon fibers limit brass nozzle life to approximately 9 hours, requiring hardened steel or ruby nozzles, and annealing at 100°C for 16 hours is essential to achieve maximum mechanical and thermal performance.
