Fiberon PA12-CF10 is a carbon fiber reinforced long-chain copolyamide filament containing 10% chopped carbon fibers with a density of 1.06 g/cm³ and exceptional heat deflection temperature of 131°C at 0.45 MPa. This advanced composite exhibits superior mechanical properties with Young's modulus of 3311 MPa in X-Y direction when dry, thanks to its unique long-chain PA12 structure that provides significantly lower moisture sensitivity compared to PA6/PA66-based materials. The material features Warp-Free™ technology that ensures excellent dimensional stability with minimal shrinkage during printing and annealing processes.

Fiberon PA12-CF10 excels in aerospace, automotive, and composite manufacturing applications requiring high-performance parts with superior strength-to-weight ratios. It prints reliably on FDM systems with nozzle temperatures of 280-300°C and bed temperatures of 40-50°C, achieving printing speeds up to 300mm/s without requiring heated chambers or enclosures. Both professional engineers and advanced makers can leverage its outstanding dimensional stability and reduced moisture absorption for functional prototypes, end-use parts, and manufacturing tooling that demand precision and durability.

Users benefit from PA12-CF10's exceptional moisture resistance with only 1.5% equilibrium water absorption, maintaining 77.4 MPa tensile strength in dry conditions and 71.7 MPa when moisture conditioned. However, the abrasive carbon fibers limit brass nozzle life to approximately 9 hours, requiring hardened steel or ruby nozzles, and annealing at 100°C for 16 hours is strongly recommended to achieve maximum mechanical and thermal performance.
